| BT & BELLCORE (TCR#8) Approved Single Fiber Fusion Splice Sleeves |
Designed to restore the environmental and mechanical integrity of the coating or buffer of the optical fiber after fusion splicing.
The hot-melt adhesive tube bonds to both the fiber and the heat shrinkable outer tube to encapsulate the fusion splice. Pre-shrunk to guarantee sleeve components will not move or come apart prior to use and to speed installation; also eliminates the possibility of trapped air. Only one aperture to prevent mis-placed fibers.
Stainless steel strength member provides additional rigidity to prevent misalignment, microbending or breakage of the fiber.
Compatible with all splice sleeve ovens and trays. Custom sizes and lengths are available. |
